Productivity and focus

This morning I’m grateful to be able to work from home just because, it feels a little nippy outside. Additionally, I’m also grateful for productivity WHEN working from home, I mean – it’s almost easier not to be productive – right?

I’ve found a hack that really works for me, all thanks to Brendon Burchard. He talks about this idea, which I really love as it works for me. That is working in 15 minute slots. So you focus on one specific task, JUST one specific task for 15 minute increments – then take a very short break. Then you keep applying 15min slots, until the task is complete. It’s really been a game changer for me (no exaggeration) and it really aligns with another quote that I remembered by Swami Vivekananda who’s one of my favourite saints in Hindu philosophy. He say’s “Take up one idea. Make that one idea your life; dream of it; think of it; live on that idea. Let the brain, the body, muscles, nerves, every part of your body be full of that idea, and just leave every other idea alone. This is the way to success, and this is the way great spiritual giants are produced”

It took me a long time (and it’s still a process) to comprehend the raw power inside that quote. it’s powerful & intense. Guruji Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, from the Art of Living also talks about intensity and authenticity in expression which is a way of gaining success in anything.

So that’s my goal for the day, to bring that raw intensity and authenticity to everything I’m doing! Sending lots of love and light to everyone for Christmas just 3 days away.
